How Technology has Helped Professionals Overcome Obstacles and Create New Opportunities within the World of Low Voltage Exterior Lighting

Learning Objectives:

  1. Explore LED outdoor lighting design techniques that add depth and create interest for clarity and beauty in the landscape;
  2. Identify the ways in which LED technology has positively impacted low-voltage outdoor lighting costs -- both up-front and over the life of the system -- due to changes in material requirements and installation techniques;
  3. Differentiate energy-consumption calculations of LED outdoor lighting systems versus “traditional” incandescent systems;
  4. Understand how these consumption calculations impact the way in which LED outdoor lighting systems are designed and installed;
  5. Demonstrate The Cabling Efficiency Calculator, a simple yet powerful tool created to help design LED outdoor lighting systems that are safe, efficient and reliable;
